Review :

First of all I would like to thank the author for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
Moving on to the book review...

How many pages of reading does it take for you to decide if you are going to like a book or not? The book Invoked, has a power packed first chapter which is only one page long. And that tells you how powerful the book would be.

Invoked is a first book in a series and touches upon the subjects of black magic and sorcery. So if you like a mythological fantasy fiction, do pick up the book.
From making you cringe, to giving you goosebumps; from leaving you spell bound, to leave you hurling abuses; from medical sciences to religious beliefs to supernatural to superstitions - the book has everything.

It is a fast paced novel, well executed and has an easy flow. Nothing seems as if it has been stretched unnecessarily - the author did not waste any time (read : words) in creating the background but at the same time character building is strong and plot feels well connected and flows perfectly. Characters are real and grey as opposed to black and white - so you can relate with them.
The book is right amounts of creepy and at the right time. The author has done his research well and knows what he is talking about. For a first time author, it's a commendable feat. He has effortlessly made you fall in love with characters and eased you into the complex plot of events that take place.
The book ends as a first book in a series should - a good climax and a worthy end that leaves you wanting more, to know what happens next.
An impending war, and super powers coming alive, and past lives being discussed and disclosed is what I am expecting from the second book.

Happy Reading!

It was a bittersweet journey. Almost three years into our marriage, we started thinking about starting a family, I had my health issues to take care of, my college was about to end, I was running around for placements, clearing all levels before the HR round, facing rejection because I was a married woman. Amidst all this, I had started my treatment for Thyroid and PCOD. And because of these issues, I knew conceiving might not be easy for me and some medical intervention might be required. My gynaec wanted to run some tests but they had to be done on certai

India saw sati pratha and it sees female infanticide and but it has also given birth to women like Rani Lakshmibai, Kiran Bedi and Chanda Kochar. We have often heard the saying that behind every successful man is a woman who supports him. But today the dimensions are changing and in 2017, successful is a word that is associated not only with men, but women too - because today women are not content with ju
