Review :
First of all I would like to thank the author for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Moving on to the book review...

If dragons and magic excite you, if parallel worlds are something you look forward to and bollywood romance is your thing - then this book is for you.
It is clear that the author has grown up reading western fantasy and watching bollywood movies, this book is a marriage of the two worlds where east meets the west.
A fun fast paced read, the book captures your attention with its theme - you have five days to live, what do you choose to do in those five days? You may sit and brood, you may spend your time with your family or you may just head out to find an adventure for yourself in a parallel world where people have the teleporting powers and keep wolves as their pets and where spirits come to help you around.
There are some war scenes, some romance and some background building. The author did a great job at building the back stories and linking them to form a good background and create some mystery and suspense. But character building could have been better and stronger. Language used is simple but thankfully not childish and thus the story is easy to read and manages a fast pace.
I loved, how the mood of the whole novel changes and moves from one to the next one throughout the story as the scenes change in the story - and the fact that, if you want to look deeper, you will find some of the greatest emotions/feelings/relations of this life are beautifully expressed.
Interestingly, the book has three versions - the POV is changing in each version with three lead characters in the book (I have only read Derek's version) - so you can have your pick.

My problem with the book, well despite the great efforts to create the back-stories and add that suspense and the drama, the plot was way too simple for me - maybe its my being brought up in India watching bollywood movies to blame, but for me the story lacked the punch. And thus it wasn't a book for me, maybe.
Having said that, my verdict for the book - if you are trying to get into reading and tired of reading Chetan Bhagat (with all due respect to the author) and want to try something new, or you just like bollywood romances, then pick this book up, you wont be disappointed. As for me, I shall take a pass.

Happy Reading!

It was a bittersweet journey. Almost three years into our marriage, we started thinking about starting a family, I had my health issues to take care of, my college was about to end, I was running around for placements, clearing all levels before the HR round, facing rejection because I was a married woman. Amidst all this, I had started my treatment for Thyroid and PCOD. And because of these issues, I knew conceiving might not be easy for me and some medical intervention might be required. My gynaec wanted to run some tests but they had to be done on certai

India saw sati pratha and it sees female infanticide and but it has also given birth to women like Rani Lakshmibai, Kiran Bedi and Chanda Kochar. We have often heard the saying that behind every successful man is a woman who supports him. But today the dimensions are changing and in 2017, successful is a word that is associated not only with men, but women too - because today women are not content with ju
